About Helen Vereker Singers

Helen Vereker founded the choir in 2004. Originally a place to give students a chance to sing pop songs as a group.  The choir has grown considerably since then.

Helen Vereker Singers are a fun and lively mixed pop choir. You will find us rehearsing every Monday at Hereford’s Cider Museum.  Rehearsals are friendly and highly entertaining. Singing well-known songs of all genres: Rock, Pop, Gospel, Soul, Motown and Musicals.  There’s something for everyone to enjoy.

There are no soloists in our choir.  This ensures everyone gets the chance to sing all through the songs. With our unique, easy-to-learn arrangements, different sections of the choir each get the chance to sing melody, harmony or backing vocals. You get to sing many songs during practice and will leave feeling invigorated by the end of the session.

We are a sociable bunch and will regularly meet up for drinks, meals, trips,  plus there’s the choice of joining us for vocal coaching and extra sessions too.  You will find us an active fund-raiser for many local charities and community organisations.

As a performing choir, we are regularly are booked for weddings, concerts, fund-raising and community events.   Past performances have included: The Courtyard, Hereford, Theatre Severn in Shrewsbury, The International Eisteddfod at Llangollen, Millennium Centre in Cardiff and have supported BRIT award winners BLAKE many times on their national tours.

Concert dates can be found on our What’s On Page,  in local press, radio, or if you need further information please contact us  or follow us on Facebook.
